Project overview

Americares Foundation Tanzania, through its CY26 WASH Program, plans to implement WASH infrastructure improvements in selected public health facilities in the Mwanza Region.

The project will cover five healthcare facilities, consisting of:

• Two health centers
• Three dispensaries

Qualified local technicians and contractors are invited to submit price quotations for the proposed works.

Scope of work

1. Bulale Health Centre

Location: Nyamagana CC

Approved task:

• Construction of a borehole and connection to the main water system.

2. Nyamhongolo Dispensary

Location: Ilemela MC

Approved tasks:

• Construction of a three-door latrine, including one room for disabled clients.
• Construction of a tank raiser with a store.
• Construction of a mass handwashing point at the entry point.
• Placement of a 10,000-litre Sim tank.

3. Kwimwa Dispensary

Location: Misungwi DC

Approved tasks:

• Construction of an underground rainwater harvesting tank with a capacity of 50,000 litres.
• Fixation of gutters and downpipes.
• Construction of a tank raiser with a store.
• Placement of a 10,000-litre Sim tank.
• Connection of water to service delivery points.

4. Hungumalwa Health Centre

Location: Kwimba DC

Approved tasks:

• Construction of a tank raiser with a store.
• Placement of a 10,000-litre Sim tank.
• Construction of a mass handwashing point at the entry point.

5. Lugongo Dispensary

Location: Sengerema DC

Approved tasks:

• Construction of an underground rainwater harvesting tank with a capacity of 50,000 litres.
• Fixation of gutters and downpipes.
• Construction of a tank raiser with a store.
• Placement of a 10,000-litre Sim tank.
• Refurbishment of delivery room toilets.
• Construction of a three-door latrine, including one room for disabled clients.

Eligibility

Americares invites qualified local technicians and contractors to submit price quotations for the proposed WASH infrastructure improvement works.

Quotation requirements

Applicants must ensure that their quotation clearly indicates the facility or facilities for which the application is being made.

The quotation must also include all required details, including:

• A signed application letter.
• A stamped application letter.
• Clear indication of the selected facility or facilities.
• Price quotation for the proposed works.
