Request for quotation (RFQ) – WASH infrastructure improvement

Americares is a health-focused relief and development organization that saves lives by improving pathways to health and providing opportunities for all. Each year, Americares reaches an average of 90 countries, including the United States, through life-changing health programs, donated medicines and medical supplies, and humanitarian relief interventions. Americares is the world’s leading nonprofit provider of donated medicines and medical supplies.

Americares Foundation Tanzania, through its CY26 WASH Program, plans to implement WASH infrastructure improvements in selected public health facilities in the Mwanza Region. The project will cover five healthcare facilities, comprising two health centers and three dispensaries. The names of the facilities, their locations, and the specific scope of work are provided in Table 1 below.

01. Bulale Health Centre

Location: Nyamagana CC

Approved tasks:

• Construction of borehole and connect to main water system

02. Nyamhongolo dispensary

Location: Ilemela MC

Approved tasks:

• Construction of 3-doors latrine (1 room for disabled clients)
• Construction of tank raiser with a store
• Construction of Mass Hand washing point (at entry point)
• Placement of Sim tank 10,000 litres

03. Kwimwa dispensary

Location: Misungwi DC

Approved tasks:

• Construction of underground rainwater harvesting tank 50,000 litres
• Fixation of Gutters and downpipes
• Construction of Tank raiser with a store
• Placement of Sim tank 10,000 litres
• Connect water to service delivery points

04. Hungumalwa Health Centre

Location: Kwimba DC

Approved tasks:

• Construction of tank raiser with store
• Placement of Sim tank 10,000 litres
• Construction of Mass Hand washing point (entry point)

05. Lugongo dispensary

Location: Sengerema DC

Approved tasks:

• Construction of underground rainwater harvesting tank 50,000 litres
• Fixation of gutters and downpipes
• Construction of tank raiser with store
• Placement of Sim tank 10,000 litres
• Refurbishment of delivery room toilets
• Construction of 3-doors latrine with (1 room for disabled clients)

Invitation to submit quotations

Americares is inviting qualified local technicians and contractors to submit price quotations for the proposed works. The quotation must clearly indicate the facility or facilities for which the application is being made and include all required details, including a signed and stamped application letter.

Submission deadline

Completed quotations must be received no later than 17:30 hours East Africa Time (EAT) on Friday, June 5, 2026. Quotations received after this deadline will not be considered.
