Invitation for a public auction at St Jude’s – 17 October 2026

The School of St Jude invites all interested members of the public to attend an auction of new and used items.

• Auction time: 9:30am to 11:30am

1. Vehicle and garage items

• Car tyres

• Car batteries

• Used batteries

• Car seats

2. Water tanks and equipment

• Water tanks

• Used oil: 1,000 L (tank not included)

• Water heaters and other scrap

• Heaters / plumbing items

• Other water tanks

3. Miscellaneous items

• Generator

• Carpentry tools

• Power tools

• Firewood

• Chairs / desks

• Scrap roofing sheets

Photos show a selection of items. Other items will also be available on auction day.

Auction conditions

1. Bidder entry and viewing

Bidders will be allowed to enter through the gate for item viewing and preparation between 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM. After this period, the gate will close so the auction can begin.

2. Start of auction and bidding procedure

• The auction will begin at 9:30 AM and will be conducted by the MC.

• The MC will begin with the first lot and proceed through to the last lot.

• For each lot, the MC will announce the starting price set by the Auction Committee.

• Participants will bid openly until the winning bidder is determined.

• Before moving to the next lot, a St Jude representative will record the highest and second-highest bidders as announced by the MC.

3. Payment and receipts

Winning bidders, together with the responsible St Jude staff team member, will go to the Finance Team, located at the head office corridor, immediately after the announcement to:

• Complete payment.

• Obtain receipts.

• Complete clearance and handover.

• Receive a gate pass.

• Prepare for item collection.

4. Payment terms

Full payment (100%) must be made immediately after the winning bidder is announced.

5. Failure to pay

If the winning bidder fails to pay, the second-highest bidder will be declared the new winner, and so on.

6. Collection of items

• All successful bidders must collect their purchased items between 12:30 PM and 3:00 PM on the same day, under the supervision of St Jude staff.

• All purchased and paid-for items must be removed on the same day of the auction.

• Failure to take away purchased items will result in their confiscation by The School of St Jude.

• NO REFUNDS shall be made for uncollected items.

7. Vehicle parking

There will be no parking inside the campus. Please park outside the gate without blocking the main entrance.

8. School rights and reservations

The School of St Jude reserves the right to cancel any part of the auction, or the entire auction, at any time before or during the event, without an obligation to give reasons.
